Here are seven of the most common, including sexual betrayal\u2014some of which are more subtle and harder to recognize:<\/p>\n<ul>\n<li class=\"p1\">Sexual betrayal<\/li>\n<li class=\"p1\">Emotional betrayal<\/li>\n<li class=\"p1\">Affective betrayal<\/li>\n<li class=\"p1\">Betrayal of trust<\/li>\n<li class=\"p1\">Financial betrayal<\/li>\n<li class=\"p1\">Virtual betrayal<\/li>\n<li class=\"p1\">Serial betrayal<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n<p class=\"p3\">Let\u2019s look at them more closely.<\/p>\n<h3><b>1. Sexual betrayal<\/b><\/h3>\n<p class=\"p3\">This is the form most commonly associated with the idea of \u201ccheating.\u201d It is primal and physical, involving the body and emotions. It often occurs when emotional or sexual distance grows between partners. While sporadic episodes may end in guilt and forgiveness, deeper attachments to a third person often lead to a definitive breakup. According to a study reported in <i>State of Mind<\/i>, about 40% of couples experience infidelity, 30% admit both partners cheated, and only 30% claim to have remained faithful.<\/p>\n<h3><b>2.
